Tefpack packing is braided with a synthetic yarn that is very strong and durable. This strong braid is then impregnated with TEFLON (PTFE) and Graphite to produce a high quality packing that will out perform other natural fiber packings. The synthetic yarn is not subject to the mildew rot cycle found in most natural fiber packings. Longer packing life, better performance.
