Connection is accomplished by fitting the female part over the male tab. The holding force is excellent due to an indentation on the tongue of the female part which locks into a hole on the male tab. These vinyl partially insulated terminals are a cost effective solution that includes insulation. Vinyl insulation should not be used in applications that expose the terminal to UV.
